Introduction

Photography is simple.  It’s about seeing and about translating what we see into pictures.  For me, the challenge is in acknowledging the documentary properties of each photograph while maintaining its presence foremost as an aesthetic study.  I’m attracted to visual relationships, manifested by juxtaposition, attitude, gesture, and shape; but some of the work is motivated by anger. How can anyone make photos of the homeless, forclosed, and indians without getting angry? How can you shoot instance after instance of humans intruding, erecting, and abandoning without at least wondering about their total lack of imagination?
